Review: BlackBerry Z30 Rubberized Back Hard Case from Brando Workshop

Any of you that have been following BlackBerry Empire may know that I have a BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 that I switch back and forth between for reviews, testing apps, or just as my daily driver. Well I’m very happy to say that I now have the BlackBerry Z30 and I will be trying to keep you up to date about different accessories, apps, or any other tips I come across concerning that device as well.

I received my BlackBerry Z30 about two weeks ago, and I’m absolutely amazed by it so far. I have always been a keyboard kind of person but must admit that the Z30 is the best BlackBerry available at this time.

Once I had it all set up the very next thing I had to do was get a couple cases to protect it, so as always the ONLY PLACE I went to look for them was the Brando Workshop website. These guys have been (and will continue to be) my go to source for all of my BlackBerry accessory needs.

One thing I noticed while setting up my Z30 was the device felt very slippery in my hand and because of this I was a little concerned that it would be very easy to drop. So to help prevent that I choose the BlackBerry Z30 Rubberized Back Hard Case (I choose a bright color so it’s easy to see in this review), and it is working exactly as I had hoped. The device is now very easy to hold and I’m no longer concerned about it slipping out of my hand.

The Rubberized Back Hard Case is very simple and easy to place on your device, all you have to do is slide the Z30 into the tray and away you go. It’s made of high quality lightweight material that is both very durable and dust resistant. There are cutouts for the media keys on one side, the USB ports on the other, and one for the camera on the back. Once in place you will see that the back and corners of the Z30 should be protected if the device is dropped (although I haven’t actually tested this and hopefully never will). You will also see there’s not a whole lot of protection for the screen itself, but if for some reason you place the device face down there’s a small lip around the edges of the case that should prevent the screen from being scratched up.

I have had the BlackBerry Z30 Rubberized Back Hard CaseĀ on my device for about a week now and had only seen one very minor issue with it that actually went away over time. When I first put it on my device and ended a phone call I would feel the case tug a little on my hair, so I guess it was getting hung up on that corner of the case. The last couple of days though that hasn’t happened so I am assuming the case just need time to stretch out a little.

If you are ready to check out the BlackBerry Z30 Rubberized Back Hard Case just head on over to the Brando Workshop website and grab yours today, they are only $11 and available in 9 different colors (black, white, purple, magenta, pink, blue, cyan, yellow, or red). In fact now that this review is posted I think I will grab another one in a different, not so bright color that my friends won’t give me a hard time about.
