BlackBerry have announced that John Sims will join the company as the President of the Global Enterprise Services department.
In a rather short but straight to the point type of press release, John Sims will join the company decided by the new CEO and Executive Chair for BlackBerry. John Chen says “I am pleased to welcome such a seasoned executive as John to BlackBerry to help lead our key business operations through our ongoing reorganization and transition” John Chen also mentions how he sees Mr Sims as a tremendous asset to BlackBerry as they continue to reshape the Company.
This type of news, WE LIKE. John Chen is making changes, and he’s making them fast. The fact that he hires someone of 20 years of experience in telecommunications products and experience in re-branding brands shows that as a company, BlackBerry means business. They’re not going away that easily.

BlackBerry Appoints Leader for Enterprise Services Business

John Sims joins BlackBerry in January from SAP, where he served as President of SAP’s Mobile Services business. Before joining SAP, John held leadership positions at 724 Solutions, TANTAU Software, Intrado and Tandem Computers. He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of CTIA.
