Game Review: Pinball Deluxe

Remember the good ‘ol days of going to the arcade and playing pinball on that big slightly skew table?… No? Well then you’re way to young for this, which is good too because then this game is for you. My very first impression of Pinball Deluxe resulted in me jumping up and screaming like a teenage girl at a Justin Bieber concert..Yes the game is that impressive. Ohh how it brings back good memories.. Soda and cheap chewing gum… Couple of your mates surrounding the pinball table.

At first you get an awesome looking menu.. Which is graphically awesome… And then once you start the game, its just unreal. The graphics (for a mobile game) looks really good and at 25 fps, it’s really, really good. As for gameplay I really can’t complain. The game play is really well and very easy to get the hang of.

The left bumper is activated by pressing any of the keys on the left of the keyboard and well the right bumper is activated by all the keys on the right.. Except for the “P” button which pauses your game… (Which comes in handy when you have to go for a bathroom break)

At first I expected the game to drain a lot of your battery life but it uses 1% more than brick breaker (which most of us play)

A nifty feature that I like (from my previous reviews you would know) is the leader/scoreboard…I mean come on, that’s what its all about! You and your mates can play on your BlackBerry and the highest scores can be put on the board with your name and the point that you earned.

Conclusion : It’s a really awesome game which will let you relive or just live the old arcade days. It features –

  • Good gameplay
  • Awesome graphics
  • To me it would have loads of replay value so if you are anything like me then this will be totally worth it

Overall my rating out of 10 would be a solid 8.

You can find the game in the BBE store for $4.99 (Purchase here) which is a bit pricey but totally worth it if you ask me.
