BlackBerry 6 – How Does Your Home Screen Look?

I’m a very simple guy and I like to keep some basic apps @ my fingertips. One great thing about BlackBerry 6 is that we can manipulate the number of apps we want to see without having to install a third-party theme. I’ll give you a peak @ my Favorites screen and explain why I keep these 8 icons at top priority.

I keep BeWeather in the first slot. Most BlackBerry users keep a good weather app on hand. Think of how many themes offer a weather slot. I believe it’s because of how important knowing the weather is; gotta steer clear of stormy skies. Honestly, I think it’s a smartphone user code to keep weather handy. Download

Messages & SMS are obviously important. Although I keep the sms within my messages app, it’s easier to look for a conversation with the stand alone app.

Facebook is my favorite app to use and I keep on the main screen so I can open “Places” without hassle or quickly see what’s going on back home(Philadelphia).

Twitter is just an awesome social networking tool that I use to manage my personal connections with people that I don’t keep a phone number for. It’s also great for business since the BBE posts are automatically tweeted(@SunofaBob).

Social feeds houses all of my RSS feeds. I also keep Facebook & Twitter there for quick, simultaneous status updates and if I just want a sneak peek at what people are doing on each individual network in one convenient stream.

I mainly keep the Options icon there so I can quickly get a numerical value for my battery level.

My favorites are for less common use, but, I do need them for day-to-day activities. The icons on my “All” screen are used pretty much every hour of the day. I’ve shard some personal info with you from my BlackBerry. I’m sure you have a specific way to keep your icons…Enjoy your BlackBerry.
