BeMaps 10 Pro Gets Update Including UI Revamp

For those of you who use BeMaps 10 Pro instead of the native BlackBerry Maps that comes pre-installed on all BlackBerry 10 smartphones, you’re going to be happy to hear that the application has received an update. The update brings a new user interface, bug fixes and a couple of handy features.

What’s new in the latest version of the app :

  • The user interface received a major update.
  • General responsiveness and pinch to zoom accuracy have been improved.
  • For transit routes, you can now select preferred modes of transport.
  • The addition of transit routes shoe total fare cost.
  • The addition of routing options for transit routes such as ‘fewer transfers’ and ‘less walking’.
  • The addition of routing options such as ‘avoid trolls’ and ‘avoid highways’.
  • You now have the ability to access and navigate to your Google My Places.
  • You now have the ability to set a specific time for departure or arrival on transit routes.
  • A lot of bugs have been squashed.

You can download BeMaps 10 Pro for BlackBerry straight at BlackBerry World here. The application costs $4.99 US which may not be appealing to the eye, but it does prevent you from being late for meetings or the like which can make it worth the money in the long-run.
