BBM for Android receives Android Material Design update in the BlackBerry Beta Zone

BBM for Android has received a much needed design update. In accordance to the design guidelines developed by Google, BBM for Android now has a design much suited and aesthetically pleasing to Android users.

Along with a refreshed UI/UX, new features have been added such as Private Chats, Edit Messages and Publish in Feed.

Private Chats:
In a private chat, your contact’s name is hidden, and new message notifications are turned off. Your chat is automatically deleted after a short time, or when you end the private chat.

Edit Message
The perfect complement to message retraction, Replace provides you with the power to edit a sent message.

Publish in Feed:
Share status updates faster, right from your BBM feed.

Remember, folks, this is a beta and only available to those that have signed up in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. You can sign up here. However, it appears that sign ups are currently full, so you’ll have to keep checking back.

It’s good to see the BBM Team hard at work in providing users across all platforms the suited experience they deserve on their devices. Keep it coming!
