AIRBUS GROUP ADOPTS BES12 TO SECURELY MANAGE ITS GLOBAL MULTI-OS MOBILE FLEET

Paris, France – October 1, 2015 – BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ: BBRY; TSX: BB), a global leader in secure mobile communications, today announced that Airbus Group, a world leader in aeronautics, astronautics and defense, has once again renewed its confidence in BlackBerry by upgrading to BES®12, a multi-OS EMM solution by BlackBerry, to securely manage its global multi-OS mobile fleet.

In recent years, Airbus Group has seen the needs and expectations of its employees evolve in terms of mobility. In order to remain ever more agile and relevant in a highly competitive environment, Airbus Group has chosen to support different mobility scenarios without compromising security. Airbus remains fully committed to improving communication and collaboration within the group.

To succeed in this vision, Airbus Group needed an EMM solution that was secure, flexible and scalable. By choosing BES12, Airbus has confirmed both good partnership with BlackBerry and the ability of BES12 to support its IT requirements.

This choice focused primarily on manageability and security needs which BES12 meets perfectly and which are the foundation for BlackBerry’s extensive portfolio of enterprise security, productivity, and communication and collaboration services. BES12 centralizes device management from a single command and control center, and seamlessly supports multiple mobile platforms, including iOS®, Android™ (including Android™ for Work and Samsung KNOX™ smartphones and tablets), Windows Phone® and BlackBerry®.

With expanded EMM capabilities and a unified cross-platform reporting structure, BES12 enables Airbus Group to maintain control over an increasingly complex cross-platform mobile management environment.

“In a hyper-competitive world where seamless connectivity is critical, enterprises increasingly require a secure, scalable and flexible EMM solution,” said Carl Wiese, President of BlackBerry Global Sales at BlackBerry. “With BES12, Airbus Group has adopted a future-ready mobility management platform that will drive productivity, security, communication and collaboration within the organization.”
