If you’re like me and you love your Z10, the perfect way to treat it is with this beautifully made case by Seidio. The Prime Power Case combines the best of protection and battery power, without adding the bulk that comes along with these types of cases. Frankly, When I felt the weight of the packing as a whole, I was impressed, and thought there was no way a power case could be inside.
Turns out, it was thinner and lighter than I had expected, adding absolutely not bulky at all.

Coverage (8/10)
If you’re looking for stellar protection, severe drop protection excluded, this is the perfect case for you. Being careful is absolutely always a major concern for us techies, but you can’t always control the situation and sometimes stuff happens. Well, with the Prime Power Case, you don’t have to choose between powering up in the middle of the day or protecting your phone, you get both.
This case is great, it doesn’t crush your phone or make it difficult to transition your phone in and out of the case, thus, leaving you with subtle dents or scratches on the protected areas. It actually hugs your phone comfortably, but not in a way where it is likely to fall out resulting in damage. The contoured corners are designed to really lock your device into the loving arms of this slim power case.
The raised corners do offer adequate protection when setting your device face down on a flat surface and the protruding cover for the micro usb gives you a nice handle for one handed use of your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone – kind of a comfort grip.
Durability (8/10)
While this case is no insurance against carelessness, it will provide you with piece of mind. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy in any way. The case is composed of two separate pieces that are joined with a very small seam; the battery portion of the case and the frame that supports the device.
The back of the case is covered in a rubberized plastic that provides great grip protection and resists smudges and moisture. It is crowned with a nice and shiny Seidio branded marker and sports the recessed battery activator button as well. The front of the case is lined with a soft suede(ish) material that protects from scratches and dust buildup. Not only that, but your device must feel real sexy in this case because this stuff is super soft.
The slim protection is backed by a durable plastic polymer that protects your phone with enough rigidity and support that it can survive low or medium drops and virtually all scratches (on protected areas).
Efficiency vs. Bulk (9/10)
The case touts a sizable 2600mAh battery that provides ample coverage over the stock 1800mAh Z10 L-S1 battery. The case, being incredibly slim for a power case, is streamlined perfectly. With a battery pack, you are going to get some extra added weight, of course, however you cannot deduct points for this feature because you must be conscious of this when purchasing a case within the genre of cases. I must mention, however, that you will nearly double the weight of your phone by adding this case. The benefit is, you won’t need to have it plugged in for too long, so if this is a backup case or an “Emergency Only” type case and you are particular about adding that weight, then you have nothing to worry about. If you are using this as you “daily driver”, you’ll notice it – but it’s easy to forget with all that it has to offer.
I give Seidio major kudos for providing a sexy, stylish power case for the Z10 – a definite break from the norm of power cases we have seen for our devices in the past. Definitely a leader in it’s class of case.
Value (10/10)
For the price of $49.95 USD, you get a case and an external battery. That should be the end of the argument for this section, but it isn’t. You get so much more! This is a beautiful piece of engineering. The coverage, protection, and efficiency of the case is phenomenal.
