With Alec Saunders announcing at BlackBerry Jam Asia that we will not see a native Instagram app coming to BlackBerry 10 anytime soon, here comes iGrann, the first native third party Instagram client for BlackBerry 10. “It is not just an Instagram viewer, it is a full featured app.” While filters won’t be in the initial version of this app, iGrann will be packed with features:

  • Register
  • Login
  • Recover Password
  • Edit Profile Information
  • Browse Feed
  • Browse Photos
  • Explore Popular
  • Search Users
  • Search Hashtags
  • View News
  • Upload Photos
  • Comment
  • Like / Unlike
  • Follow / Unfollow
  • Browse Profiles
  • Share
  • etc

What you can not do with this app:

  • Apply filters to photos (planned)
  • Browse Videos (planned)
  • Upload Videos (planned)
  • Receive push notifications

From the dev:

I am still finishing the design of some pages and will upload photos when they are finished.
I am testing the app using the simulator because I do not have a BB phone. When I get one to test, will upload a video.

In Login screen, last logged in user is saved, and when you touch on avatar, username is auto-filled and password is focussed for fast login.

I am open to opinions and suggestions. via CB forum
