A confidential document leaked by the folks over at N4BB show BlackBerry’s 2014 roadmap in terms of which devices they have planned and which target segment they have pinned down for the BlackBerry smartphone business.

The four segments are Affordable, Classic, Innovative and Prestige. This should target the BlackBerry community pretty well alongside potential new customers as the 4 segments pretty much cover the entire smartphone market. We know that the Passport (Wndermere) will launch in September alongside OS 10.3. We also know that the Classic will launch sometime in October/November where in-house devices will receive OS 10.3.1. The P’9983 recently just passed through the FCC and looks to have  a 2014 launch, so this could very much happen when the Passport launches or even with the Classic.

Remember, John Chen specifically called the London event in September “Devices Portfolio”, so I wouldn’t be surprised if BlackBerry will be ready to show off all 4 of these devices then. If the slides prove to be true, their will not be another high end, all touch BlackBerry device in 2014 and we may most likely see one in 2015.  The BlackBerry 9720 will also receive treatment from BlackBerry right through 2015 with incremental updates to the legacy OS.

What do you guys think? Does this plan by BlackBerry seem good enough to please the smartphone community? I should think so. With BlackBerry 10 maturing as the days go by and with BlackBerry’s clear focus, it’s nice to say that the future in terms of BlackBerry devices is looking strong.
