BeWeather 10 Pro updated for BlackBerry Z10 and Z30 devices – New Active Frame and so much more

For any of you that have either a BlackBerry Z10 or Z30 device and have been using the very popular weather app, BeWeather 10 Pro, then you may want to head on over to BlackBerry World because there is an update available now. As of this time the update isn’t for the Q5 or Q10 and unfortunately we have no idea when it will be. This update brings the app to version 2.0 and we have the change log below.

Here’s the change log:

  • Added more current weather information (UV index, visibility).
  • Added more forecast details (precipitation amounts).
  • Added hyperlocal up to the minute rain forecasts (i.e. “Rain in 10 mins, will stop after 15 mins”, USA and UK only). Powered by Forecast, Makers of the Dark Sky app.
  • Now you can use stock weather photography in addition to the HD weather animations as the app’s theme.
  • Weather radar now available in Europe and the U.S.
  • Location tiles in the location list can now be configured to show weather images or icons with custom background color.
  • Re-designed Active Frame, stock photography or weather icoms with custom background color.
  • Many bug fixes.

Before you Z owners update please note that this version will wipe all of your locations, so you will need to set them up again.

Like we said, this update is only for the Z10 and Z30 (and Z3 when it’s out) at this time, but hopefully the Q5 and Q10 users of the app will get this new version soon. So if you are ready to update the BeWeather 10 Pro just head on over to BlackBerry World now. For any of you that haven’t seen the BeWeather Pro app yet it’s definitely a great weather app which makes it worth the $4.99 price tag.
