TDM has released a new theme called Arete. The name comes from the Greek meaning excellence. And TDM has achieved excellence in the design of this theme with its 7 available colors and many possible layouts all in one theme! It has a hide-able dock and a weather slot as well.
Come on! You can’t leave NOW! Click for more!
OK so my first screen shot doesn’t look like much. Well, just you wait around and see how perfect this theme can be! Date, notification and battery at the top and time with all the signal meters at the bottom. In the bottom banner you also have the OCD slot. Most people like it for the weather. Here I feature paid BerryWeather. Watch it transform:
Ahhhh. Excellence! Notice the banners match the green shade of the wallpaper. That’s because Arete features a custom color picker. You turn it on with Alt Q and hit ESC to hide it. This way, you can choose the color you would like. See all the choices you have below!
After you choose the color you’d like, you can show your 10 icon scrolling dock with Alt w and dismiss it with Alt e. You can show your dock when you need it and when you do, it pushes onto your home screen and moves your weather slot over.
Ok, we know it’s functional. It has a dock, it has a weather slot. The weather slot is hide-able as well. The apps screen is even easy to see, being black with white focus icons. But come on. The real excitement is the color. Look at the beautiful colored banners you can add to your home screen. It is a wallpaper hoarder’s dream!
This theme features OS 6.1 icons and a unique hourglass. With so many colors available and so many different layouts, this theme can look different each time. What a great way to switch up the dull, plain ole looking home screen of your BlackBerry phone.
Arete is available for OS5 and OS6. It is available for the following phones: Bold 9650, Bold 9700, Bold 9780, Curve 8900, Curve 8910, Curve 8930, Curve 8980, Storm 9500, Storm 9530/9530T, Storm2 9550/9520, Torch 9800, Tour 9630
