Earlier we discovered that a new version of Ubertwitter was released, which is beta 8, or v.0.98. We hardly had anything new to discuss just photos, but with the help of our new member tropicdiver and the astute Kaveros, we bring you a change log and small breakdown of the new features that were added and noticed. Kav first noticed a new option in the settings: “Default email tweet recipient”, but no one has figured out exactly what this does yet. We have all entered our email addresses, so at the moment we’re just waiting for something new to occur.
The cool feature that came with v0.9747 added “Color Theme”, the ability to change the theme of how Uber looks on your BlackBerry. Updated in v.0.98 we find two new colors added.The first color is White, which for some reason appears to look the same as the grey theme. The second color added, is Red. It’s not really a bright red, its more of a burnt red. It has a maroonish color look, but none the less, it looks fresh! Other things that have been noticed are mostly found in the Options menu. New features include the ability to disable ‘Scrolling Animations’ which was added in v0.9747. It has been said that this was implemented due to the complaint volume they received. I guess they received enough complaints, so they had no choice but to find a way to provide a solution. We’re guessing its most of the users out there who experience slow animation and memory on older BlackBerry devices. In addition, there are some more options for ‘Uber Bar’ which enables you to autohide it and/or change it’s size to pre-Beta7. Saving screen space is now an option if you wish.

Another feature discovered is the threaded view for replies. This will help you have a clearer view of subject of your replies. Simply click the icon where it shows and you will be taken to a threaded view of your replies. pretty cool right? Theres more!>> Also, the ability to mute has been added, which can save some headaches from those ‘haters’ out there. Silecing a user is just a few clicks away using the Mute function. The new Ubertwitter Beta-8 also saves your hashtags so after you type it once, you no longer need need to type the whole thing again. Saves time bad, no more #blackberryempire anymore!
